This was Sheffield's first year of illuminations (with lights on loan from Cleethorpes). The lights ran from the end of London Road all the way along the Moor and Fargate to High Street down to Haymarket. Caption reads: Christmas dress never seen before. Here's Fargate in a colourful Christmas dress never seen before. An avenue of lights, crossed by a giant 20 foot cracker.
