The record came just minutes after Johnathon Edwards set a UK Record in the Triple Jump 2 July 1995 at the BUPA Gateshead Games Kate cleared 3m 80 for a English, UK and Commonwealth Record. Dannielle Bartova broke the AllCommers and World Record wth 4m 17 Because of her TV contract with the television programme Gladiators Kate was prevented from competing at Sheffield but was their watching nervously.
