'Rationing queue' outing to Blackpool
1940-1959

This photograph was donated by Sheffield City Art Galleries. The image was originally loaned to the Art Galleries Department by Irene Wilde as part of an exhibition. The information with it reads 'During rationing my sister and I would go down to Firth Park to shop. I would join the pastry queue and she'd join the rabbit queue. Obviously you met the same women every week and the rabbit queue got very friendly with each other and organised a trip to Blackpool.'
