Information from Paul Reynolds, There are flats and maisonettes of this style at Exeter Drive at the bottom of Ecclesall Road, and around Washington Road/Mount Street, Sharrow. There were some at St George's, Netherthorpe as well (I used to live in one), but they have gone now. My money is on Washington Road for this picture, as the lie of the land is wrong for the other two. Information from Miss Rachael Pass, This image is not of the Kelvin Flats, the metal banister rails in front of the doors is wrong, all front doors were on the front of the Kelvin with concrete block railings. and all small metal balconies (bedroom)were at the back of the building. the window frames where the steel slide to the side type that ran all the way across each room.
