Scottish Arch on Glossop Road.Designed by Councillor Crighton.Architect Mr. Gibbs, Built by Mr. Petfield-Bowling Green Street.Height 76 ft.Height of centre arch 26 ft.In each niche is a figure in full Highland costume. A long and detailed account can be seen in The Sheffield Independent newspaper. Running over several days it gives detail of preparations as well as vivid details of the two day visit by The Prince and Princess of Wales (16th and 17th August 1875).
