Production of the dramatic romance

The Dead Heart.

It is through the courtesy of the distinguished author and actor, Mr Benjamin Webster, proprietor of the Adelphi Theatre, that the manager is privileged to announce the first representation in Sheffield of a work, which for literary merit and sustained effect, may challenge comparison with the highest dramatic literature of our country.

The sole right of acting this drama in Sheffield being vested in Mr Coleman, it can only be acted on the occasions announced.The drama will be produced with a quantity of new scenery, and with entirely new dresses and appointments.

The music by Mr Alfred Mellon. The scenery by Mr Charles Parker, of the Theatre Royal, Dublin. The machinery by Mr Huby, machinist to Her Majesty's Theatre, Windsor Castle; and Mr Ling, machinist to the establishment.On Monday and Tuesday, June 4th and 5th,

the performances will commence with Watt's Phillips’ dramatic romance (never acted here), entitled

The

Dead Heart.

To conclude, each evening, with Byron's burlesque of The

Maid and the Magpie

or, The Fatal Spoon.

On Friday evening,

Mr Coleman's complimentary benefit!!

Which will be under distinguished patronage.

The box plan is already prepared at Mr Thorpe's, and an early application for seats is earnestly requested, to prevent confusion.
