Messrs W. and M. beg to announce Mr and Mrs Charles Dillon and company for positively 10 nights only as they are engaged to appear at the Theatre Royal, Manchester, on Monday, Oct. 12th. The eminent tragedian Mr C. Dillon in the character of Fabian n John Oxenford, esquire’s, version of The Black Doctor! entitled Fabian, or La Messalliance. Mrs C. Dillon in her original character of Pauline. Mr Chas. Dillon as ‘Don Caesar’ Mrs Chas. Dillon as ‘Maritana’ On Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1857, will be presented the dramatic play of Fabian, or La Messalliance being an adaptation of The Black Doctor! written expressly for the Lyceum Theatre, by John Oxenford, esquire, and performed upwards of fifty nights. To conclude with (for this night only) Don Caeser de Bazan. In consequence of a severe domestic affliction the appearance of Mr T. Stuart is postponed for a few days. Mr Mude will appear again shortly. In reply to many inquiries 'Belphegor' will be played one night only during the present engagement. On Friday evening, a variety of entertainments for the benefit of Mrs Charles Dillon. [Performers]: Mr Barrett, Mr H. Beverley, Mr Burt, Mr J. Chester, Mr Clifford, Mr Charles Dillon [1819-1881], Mrs Charles Dillon, Mr Dolman, Miss Graham, Miss Grainger, Mr Grainger, Miss Sarah Lewis, Mr S. May, Miss Thorne, and Mrs Weston. In rehearsal, and will be produced immediately, Westland Marston's new and successful play of ‘Life's Ransom’; also, the ‘Cagot’; and ‘The Three Musketeers’. The managers beg to announce that during this important engagement every effort will be made to render each representation as complete and effective as possible. The regular winter season will commence about the middle or latter part of October. Doors open at half past Six o’clock, performances to commence at Seven. Admission - Boxes, 3s.; Stalls, 2s.; Pit, 1s.; Gallery. 6d.Half price at 9 o’clock. Boxes, 1s 6d. Stalls, 1s. No half price to pit or gallery.
