Mr James Gilbert

will make his first appearance on any stage, in the character of

Hecate, in Macbeth

which will be produced with the whole of Locke’s music.

First night of Be Guarded by W. Willott, esquire.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5th, 1848,

the performance will commence with Shakespeare's tragedy of

Macbeth.

In addition to the whole strength of the company, the chorus will (on this occasion) be assisted by members of the Old Sheffield Choral Society.

An admired dance by Miss Laura Sanders.

Song, ‘Mad Tom’, by Mr James Gilbert.

After which, a new interlude, by William Willott, esquire, entitled

Be Guarded!

A Grand Pas de Deux by Miss Adeline Lonsdale and Mr Hunt.

Song, ‘Down among the dead men’ by Mr James Gilbert.

To conclude with a laughable farce of the

Rendezvous!

Wednesday The Vampire.

On Thursday, Henry IV, (first part) and a ballet, for the benefit of Miss Adeline Lonsdale.

Friday evening, the fashionable comedy of ‘London Assurance’. The part of ‘Sir Harcourt Courtley’, by Mr Wm. Farren, the celebrated comedian, and ‘Grandfather Whitehead’, for this night only, being for the benefit of Mrs. J. F. Saville.
