Theatre Royal, Sheffield Notice. An engagement has been entered into with Mrs Moreton Brookes, (of the Theatre Royal, Edinburgh, and Ashley's Amphitheatre, London) also with Mr Crowther, (of the Royal Amphitheatre) who will introduce his highly trained horse, 'Vienna!!' for the purpose of representing some of the most splendid and popular dramas of that unrivalled establishment. Monday and Tuesday evenings, November 20th and 21st, 1848, will be acted, with new scenery and appointments, the Scottish historical drama of Marmion, or, the Battle of Flodden Field. After Marmion, on each evening, a Pas Seul by Miss Laura Sanders. After the interlude, on each evening, a Grand Pas de Deux by Miss Adeline Lonsdale and Mr Hunt. To be followed on Monday by, the last new laughable drama of Dominique, the Deserter; Or the Gentleman in Black. On Tuesday, after Marmion, the favourite musical entertainment of The Turnpike Gate. With all the original music. To conclude on Monday with the romantic drama of Meg Mernock; or the Mountain Hag. To conclude on Tuesday, with the domestic drama of the Jew of Lubeck, or the Heart of a Father. Various astounding novelties in rehearsal. [Performers]: Mr W. Mayland, Mr Moore, Mr Mulford, Miss L. Sanders, Mr R. F. Smith, Mr M. Smythson, Mrs M. Smythson, Miss Amelia Vining, Mr M. Watkins, and Mr J. H. White. Stage manager, Mr Mulford.
