Edward John Audoire (1888-1980) of Sheffield (formerly of Guernsey) who served as vice chair of the Sheffield Channel Islands Society is pictured on the back row in the centre. The Society rsquo;s Honorary Secretary Mr C. A. U. Rose of 121 Cemetery Road, Sheffield, is presumed to be the man in the centre of the front row directly behind the Channel Islands shield.

From the collection of Edward John Audoire (1888-1980) of Guernsey and later Sheffield who served with the Royal Engineers, 455th West Riding Field Company, during the First World War (Sheffield City Archives: X902/4/1).
