As the number of cases of Coronavirus infections in the UK increased there was a surge in sales of essential products such as hand sanitizer, cleaning materials and toilet rolls, along with foodstuffs such as flour, pasta and bread. Stores started to ration their supplies from mid-March onwards as well as restrict the numbers in-store to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. |
