Major [Alan Faber] Hobson, DSO, son of Alderman and Mrs A. J. Hobson has been killed. Less than a fortnight ago he received the DSO for good work and gallantry, but on 28 August he was struck by shell and died

P. J. Benson, died at Scarborough under tragic circumstances. After bathing he suffered a seizure and passed away at once. He was member of the Sheffield City Council and Board of Guardians.
