The mens event started at 14.40pm the main event finished at 17.05, the cameras had stopped rolling, packed away and gone and all that remained of the crowd was a few die hard Pole Vault supporters staying to the bitter end. They were rewarded with a British Record by Nick Buckfield with 5m 70 to finish second and a German and Stadium Record of 5m 85 by Andrey Tivontschik who is at the top of the runway for his winning attempt
