Notes:

This was the 09.15 Sheffield (Midland) to Chinley stopping passenger-train, calling at all stations, including the three in urban south-west Sheffield. 46465 was a Buxton engine, one of several of the class allocated to this Peak District andshedand. The engine was turned at Sheffield, either on the station turntable, or sometimes this was achieved by the engine running back to Dore and round the triangle of lines there. Arriving back at the station, the engine was coupled to the same rake of carriages and then 'set-back' (i.e. reversed) into the platform. This was always the single-road platform 7, where the engine spent the following one-and-a-half to two hours simmering quietly until departure. Steam haulage of this train was last noted on Christmas Eve 1966.
