Information from: Parson Cross in the Late 1980's, 100 photographs taken by Local People Ref: 914.274 SF Deerlands Home for the Elderly - Council run accommodation for those of us too frail to remain in our own homes. Several areas of the estate have an increasingly aged population. Nearly half the estates households are pensioner households. There are groups of purpose built and sheltered housing on the estate, such as at the Support Unit on Wotrdsworth Avenue, Emerson Crescent and a further home for the elderly Lytton.
