Further information from J Thickitt.

The image shows the ex-Great Central railway (GC) station at Chapeltown, at which Sheffield Victoria to Barnsley passenger trains called. The reasoning behind this being the appearance and detail design of this station were identical to the rural stations on the ex-GC Sheffield Victoria to Worksop line - particularly Kiveton Park station and Shireoaks station (but not Kiveton Bridge - a relative newcomer in comparison!)

This station was eventually closed and the passenger service withdrawn, being considered a duplication of the service on the ex-Midland railway line from Sheffield (Midland) station, which also called at Chapeltown.
