Aerial photograph of the Woodside Development. The playing area in the centre of the picture was a barrage balloon site during World War 2.Pye Bank school can be seen dwarfed by the tower blocks of flats. The main road on the left is Nottingham Street this ran from Pitsmoor Road to the junction of Brunswick Road and Spital Street. The main road on the right is Pitsmoor Road this ran from Bridgehouses to Barnsley Road. Bridgehouses Goods Depot can be seen at the top right of the picture
