Notes:

The Electra Palace opened in 1911 in Fitzalan square. The building became a Classic cinema, in 1962, was taken over by Cannon and finally closed in 1982. The Department of the Environment refused to list it as being of architectural or historic interest and a fire in 1984 stopped any hopes of saving it. The remains were demolished, and a new store development now stands on the sight.
