Inscription on the salver reads:

Presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Marie Jose by the officers of the 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards on the occasion of her marriage, January 1930.

On top of the inscription is the badge of the Regiment.

The Princess was marrying The King of the Belgians who was Colonel in Chief of the Regiment.
