At a meeting of the Council of the said City held at the Council Chamber in Surrey Street, on Saturday the ninth day of November 1895 it was unanimously resolved that the thanks of this council, under the corporate common seal be presented to Charles Thomas Skelton, esquire, for the able and very satisfactory manner in which he has performed his various official duties as Mayor of this city during the past year.
