Our gritting service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during snow events.

We have 19 gritters with ploughs.

It takes 3 hours to grit our priority 1 route and 2.5 hours to grit our priority 2 route.

Our gritting routes include over 60% of the network (more than any other local authority in the UK).

The salt dome at Olive Grove holds 9,500 tonnes of grit/salt.

There are 2000+ grit bins across Sheffield for you to use.
