In June 2020 as the Coronavirus lockdown eased and some shops reopened signs and street markings advised shoppers to keep their distance from each other to reduce the spread of the virus. Initially, the Government advised social distancing by 2 metres; though this was later relaxed to '1 metre plus' if 2 metres wasn rsquo;t possible (with mitigation such as being outdoors and/or wearing a facemask.)
