In loving memory of Elizabeth Daykin who fell asleep 2nd Feb 1944 aged 48 years. Also to the honoured memory of 1658557 Private Thomas B. F. Daykin, her dearly loved husband killed in action abroad, August 2nd 1943. At Rest. To fall asleep is not to die. [Private Thomas Bernard Frederick, Daykin, Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment, was the son of Albert and Gertrude Daykin, of Totley Rise, Yorkshire; husband of Elizabeth Daykin, of Totley Rise, is commemorated at Catania War Cemetery, Sicily].
