Information from:Parson Cross in the Late 1980's, 100 photographs taken by Local People Ref: 914.274 SF. The decline and closure of Longley Baths: The once popular outdoor pool was the only swimmimg venue within the estates. Closed because of cracks and leaks, it was finally demolished and levelled. Meanwhile Sheffield's other outdoor pool was attracting private investment, further emphasising the affulence of resources in the south as compared to the north of the city. |
