From The Building News, December 8th 1882: This church which is fast approaching completion, has been built under the auspices of the Sheffield Church Extension Society. It is placed in the centre of a very populous parish and is the fourth church built by the same society, each of which has been designed for and erected in the poorer districts of the town. The materials used in the construction are red brick and stone, both internally and externally. The drawings were prepared by Mr. J.D. Webster, architect, Sheffield and under his superintendence the works are being carried out. |
