Made in the year 1822 with 1,822 blades and instruments as a showpiece, a blade was added annually. The total at any time represents the year in the Christian Calendar. Height 32, width 22. It was bought by Stanley Tools at auction in 1969 so it would remain in Sheffield as an example of Sheffield skills and craftmanship. |
