Notes:

Oil Painting of Sheffield Castle by Kenneth Steel R.B.A. S.G.A. Art., commissioned by the Board of Directors for the new Boardroom at Castle House, September 1964. This is a compromise version between historical records, which variously report the Castle as "triangular" and the site shown by Fairbank's plan of Sheffield in 1771.
