Lansdowne Picture Palace opened 1914 closed following air raids on the night of 12 December 1940 although damage was apparently negligible. 1947 building converted for use as a temporary Marks and Spencers Store; 1950's became a Mecca Dance Hall, Locarno and later Tiffany's nightclub then reverted back to Locarno.
