Daughter of William Wilson of Sherwood Hall, Mansfield, and a younger sister of Henry J. Wilson (1833-1914) of Osgathorpe Hills, Pitsmoor, Director of Sheffield Smelting Company, JP and radical Liberal MP for Holmfirth. She died (aged 26) on 5 November 1864, at Wincobank Hall, Sheffield, the home of her grandmother Mrs Read, and was buried at the Sheffield General Cemetery.
