Illuminated address presented to William Bragge (1823-1884) by the Cutlers Company, paying tribute to him for his services to Sheffield, 4 Sep 1878. Includes references to William Bragge's duties as Master Cutler, Councillor and Alderman of the Borough of Sheffield, his role helping to establish the museum at Weston Park, and his services as President of the Sheffield School of Art. Includes copy of portrait of Bragge to be displayed in the Cutlers Hall (arc06214). Outside of Bragge's role in Sheffield as Managing Director of Sir John Brown and Company, he played a prominent part in public life in Sheffield as reflected in the tribute presented to him by the Cutlers Company.
