Rev. Richard Middleton, Wesleyan Minister, became superintendent of the Park Circuit in 1900, succeeding the Rev. Thomas B. Harrowell. In 1903, Rev. Richard Middleton left as superintendent of the Park Circuit to take up a similar position in Burnley. See Sheffield Independent , 28 Aug 1900 (p. 7) and 1 Sep 1903 (p. 7).
