Set out for building. The land which belonged to John Crich's heirs in 1838. See FC/Shes/7L The building lots in John Ellis's land at the corner of Allen Street and Causey Lane have been added later. Shows Allen Street, Smithfield, Causey Lane, Hoyle Street, Ellis Street, Shepherd Street, Matthew Street and Doncaster Street. Refers to James Ellis, John Shepherd, Thomas Newton, Thomas Holy, George Hancock, William Doncaster, George Houldsworth, Francis Clarebrough, Richard Stones, Joseph Radley, Amos Holland, John Houldsworth, William Clark / Clarke the younger, George Hancock, Edward Beet, William Barker, Robert Kenshaw, Benjamin Taylor, Thomas Badger, Joseph Cardwell, John Greaves, Edwin Butterell, Thomas Froggatt, William Hill, - Bennett, James Ogden, and - Dallaway.
