Plaque reads The Mandella Room The room was renamed the Mandela Room by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Phyllis Smith as a tribute to Nelson Mandela, the Leader of the African National Congress on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Monday, 18th July 1988.
