In loving memory of James, the dearly loved husband of Sarah Hannah Norris, who died Nov 22nd 1930, aged 64 years. Also Pte. Harold, missing in France, July 1st 1916 [Battle of the Somme], aged 26 years. Also Pte Rowland missing in Salonika, Sept 18th 1918, aged 21 years. Sons of the above. Also the above Sarah Hannah Norris who died May 4th 1944 aged 79 years. Reunited. Private Harold Norris (12/199) served in the York and Lancaster Regiment, son of James Norris of 11, Ward Place, Highfields, Sheffield is commemmorated at the Railway Hollow Cemetery, Hebuterne, France (grave reference D.13). 38410 Private Rowland Norris, served in the King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) 9th Bn. formerly Royal Army Medical Corps died on 19th September 1918. He is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial in Greece. |
