The group were in Sheffield to be taught different trades to take back to India. During their stay in Sheffield they visited Wisewood School and the Central Library. In the evening they visited the International Settlement.

Bevin Boys were young men conscripted to work in coal mines between December 1943 and March 1948 to increase the rate of coal production.
