Sidney Keeton was born in 1919, son of Walter Keeton and Emma (nee Cutts) of Woodhouse and grandson of Joseph Keeton (1852-1944) of Woodhouse. Sidney Keeton served as a private with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps during the Second World War and was killed in action on 27 Jul 1944, aged 24. He was buried at the Shorncliffe Military Cemetery, Kent. The Keeton family were closely associated with Woodhouse Wesleyan Methodist Church over multiple generations.
