Mary Parkin (cousin of Mrs. Tomlin who donated the photograph) wrote produced and took minor parts in all the Middlewood Hospital productions from the late 1920s until she retired about 1970. She started as an Auxiliary Nurse and rose to be Deputy Matron (accepted into Medical Psychological Association after training at 'Wadsley' dated 1933).
