Title:Thomas Wilson Mappin (1877 - 1916) and family pictured in unknown outdoor location
Location:Sheffield
Date Period:1851-1899
Notes:

Group shot of six individuals (four adults and two children).

The gentleman on the left is believed to be Thomas Wilson Mappin (1877 - 1916), son of Sir Wilson Mappin J.P. (1848 - 1925) of Abbeydale Grange, who lived at the time at 'Oakbourne', 26 Oakholme Road, Sheffield. The lady next to him is believed to be his wife Violet Maud Mappin (1883 - 1948). The two children are thought to be the couple's daughter Molly Violet Mappin (born 1907) and son Charles Thomas Hewit Mappin (born 1909).

Thomas Wilson Mappin and Violet Maud Mappin were cousins who married in 1906. After the death of her first husband Thomas Wilson Mappin, Violet Maud Mappin re-married Percy Augustus Duke (1887 - 1969) in 1916.

The identities of the two ladies on the right are unknown.
