Notes:	Thomas Howarth headed a private school and also had connections with St Georgeï¿½s Church, Portobello. The memorial was erected at the east end of the north transept of St Georgeï¿½s (sculptor not indicated, but may have been the firm of E. and T. Smith, Sheffield). Reference: W.
