Title:Reverend Thomas Sale (1804-1873), vicar of Sheffield
Location:Sheffield
Date Period:1851-1899
Copyright::Geoffrey Tweedale
Notes:

Albumen print (pasted to small piece of card). Sale identified in pencil on front and back.

The studio furnishings suggest that the photograph was taken by Theophilus Smith at Cemetery Road (see the chair in s36602). It would be dated early 1860s.

Smith produced a posthumous marble bust of Sale (s07717).
