Pictured 3rd left, front row is Dr William J. Clancy. William J. Clancy was House Surgeon of the Seaman's Hospital (Dreadnought) at Greenwich in the early 1920s before moving to Fir Vale Hospital, Sheffield as Assistant Medical Superintendent in November 1923. He became Assistant Medical Officer in Dec 1926. By the 1950s he was Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the City General Hospital, Sheffield. After his retirement in 1960 he was granted the title 'Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Emeritus at the City General Hospital, Sheffield'. |
